MusicExporter
MusicExporter copies music files from iPods, iTunes music libraries and directories
into a target directory.
The target directory may be structured according to
album, artist, composer or playlist.
- Copies music from iPods, iTunes and directories.
- Grouping according to album, artist, composer and playlist.
- Reads id3-tags and iTunes music libraries.
- Generates index page with album covers.
usage
- Just press 'space' to select music files.
- You can customize directory names, if you want.
- Click 'Export'.
Hint: MusicExporter can access iPods, if the option "enable disk use" is selected. See
iTunes:Preferences:iPod.
target directory structure
The target directory's structure depends on the selected music files
and the used selection mode.
- Selection by 'Artist'

- The target directory gets a directory named by the artist (Björk).
- The artist directory gets a directory named by the album (Debut).
- The album directory contains the music files.
- Selection by 'Album'

- The target directory gets a directory named by the album (Le Fabuleux..).
- The album directory contains the music files.
- Selection by 'Composer'

- The target directory gets a directory named by the composer (Prokofiev, Sergei).
- The composer directory gets a directory named by the album (Scythian..).
- The album directory contains the music files (..Adoration of..).
- Selection by 'Playlist'

- The target directory gets a directory with the playlists' name.
- This directory contains the music files.
- 'Auto' selection
- MusicExporter chooses the selection mode for you when 'Auto' is checked.
- The selection mode will be 'Playlist' if the selected files are part of a playlist.
- The selection mode will be 'Album' if the column 'Compilation' is checked.
- The selection mode will be 'Compsoer' if column 'Genre' has the value 'Classical'.
- In all other cases 'Artist' applies.
