Bud LoveWildlife Habitat Management Area - Wyoming |
The Bud Love Wildlife Habitat Management Area provides crucial winter habitat for big game species. This area is six miles northwest of Buffalo and supports approximately 500 wintering elk and 200 mule deer. A small number of pronghorn also spend time in the area.
Elevations range from 5,500 to 7,000 feet with steep canyon walls above Rock and Sayles creeks.
Bud Love WHMA is closed each year to human presence January 1 through May 14. THIS AREA OPENS TO ALL HUMAN PRESENCE AT 8:00AM May 15th
