It is divided into four sections adjacent to Pathfinder Reservoir and includes three campgrounds and three boat ramps. The reservoir is used by numerous migratory bird species. The Pronghorn is commonly found on the refuge.

U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Pathfnder National Wildlife Refuge Hunting and Fishing The Blue Goose is a symbol of the National Wildlife Refuge System, a network of lands and waters managed for the beneft of wildlife and people. Welcome Welcome to Pathfnder National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), located in central Wyoming. The Refuge consists of 16,806 non-contiguous acres in four parcels and includes mixedgrass uplands and wetland habitats. The wetlands provide welcome resting, nesting and feeding areas for migrating waterfowl, especially in springtime. General Information To access Pathfnder NWR from Casper, WY, take WY-220 west for 50 miles. From Rawlins, take US 287 north for 44 miles, then turn east on WY 220 for 21 miles. Hunting and fshing are permitted on this Refuge in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Additional Refuge-specifc regulations are necessary to protect wildlife and habitat, as well as provide a safe experience for hunters, anglers, and Refuge staff. Please familiarize yourself with the following information to help ensure a safe and enjoyable visit. Dogs are to be restrained except while engaged in a hunting activity. Prohibited Activities • Camping or fres. • Off-road vehicles. • Cleaning of birds on the Refuge. • Littering, including spent shells. • Collecting or removing artifacts, historic items, shed antlers, and other natural objects. • Cutting, gathering, manipulating, or bringing in any vegetation to create a blind. Firearms Persons possessing, transporting, or carrying frearms on National Wildlife Refuge System lands must comply with all provisions of State and local law. Persons may only use Hunting Regulations Table Hunting is in accordance with State regulations. In addition, Refuge-specifc regulations must be followed and are listed in the table below. Legal sunrise and sunset times can be found in the Wyoming Game and Fish Hunting Regulations. Migratory Game Bird Hunting The Refuge is open to hunting migratory game birds following State regulations and Refuge-specifc regulations. Species include coot, dark geese, ducks, grouse, light geese, and mourning dove. Big Game Hunting The Refuge is open to hunting big game in designated areas, following State regulations and Refuge-specifc regulations. Species include mule deer, pronghorn antelope and white-tailed deer. Fishing Fishing is permitted at Pathfnder NWR on the main reservoir and in stream areas leading to it, per State seasons and regulations. Upland Game Hunting The Refuge is open to hunting upland game in designated areas following State regulations and specifc Refuge regulations. Species include hare and rabbit.
