Visitors can view wildlife and restored wetlands while walking trails, playing a round of disc golf, or riding the Fern Ridge Bicycle Path through the wetlands. The 0.5 mile Tsanchiifin Walk trail is named after a local band of Kalapuya Indian. Stewart Pond is a seasonal emergent wetland. It is home to many species of waterfowl. Geese and ducks are numerous during the wet season. The first 18-hole disc golf course on BLM-managed lands was built here. The Meadowlark Prairie overlook is located on Greenhill Road, between West 11th Avenue and Royal Avenue. The overlook has picnic tables covered by a shelter, bathrooms and interpretive signs. To access Stewart Pond from downtown Eugene, travel west on 11th Avenue, turn right on Bertelsen Road , turn right on Stewart Road. Travel one mile to the parking area. To access Tsanchiifin Walk: From downtown Eugene, travel west on 11th Avenue, pass Bertelsen Road and turn right on Willow Creek Road. Park at the Red House to access the walking trails.
