KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
M OPEN year-round.
M A valid OREGON STATE ATVE PERMIT is required for all OHVs.
M SUMMER WILDFIRE DANGER may result in temporary trail closures.
M CLASS I AND II riders must carry on their vehicle a fire extinguisher (8 oz. or
larger) during fire season.
M CLASS Ill AND IV operators must carry a fire extinguisher (2 pound or larger).
DIRECTIONS
Take exit 194A from Interstate Highway 5 onto Highway 126. Travel 4 miles east to
the 42nd Street exit. Turn left and proceed to Marcela Road. Turn right and continue
northeast about 10 miles towards the town of Marcela. Proceed through the town
towards Shotgun Creek Road (look for signage). Turn left at Shotgun Creek Road and
travel northwest following signs to the Crooked Creek Staging Site or Cascade View
OHV Complex facilities.
POINT OF INTEREST
Maps of the trails are located at staging areas and
Springfield BLM Office. The maps depict intermingled
private lands. While riding, stay on signed trails
and be respectful of neighboring private lands.

Welcome to Shotgun Creek Recreation Site!
The refreshing respite of a lush, forest setting, coupled with comforts normally associated with an urban park, blend
seamlessly at this popular day-use site. Here, one can become immersed in the enjoyment of the surrounding
hiking trails, swimming area, meandering creek, and picnicking units. The beautiful, well-equipped wooden shelters,
available by reservation, offer a fine place to celebrate a wedding, anniversary or birthday party. Whether seeking
trail solitude, a fun day of water play during the dog-days of summer, or the lingering memory of that very special
celebration, this special place awaits your arrival.
Know before you go
SHELTER RESERVATIONS can be made by contacting the Springfield BLM Office.
pERMITS are required spring through fall; one-day permit and seasonal permits are
available.
SITE HOURS vary per season.
dogs are permitted on leash; dog waste bags are provided on site.
