WILD ROGUE Welcome to Alsea Falls Recreation Site! Breath taking waterfalls, beautiful nature hikes and adrenalin packed mountain biking is all located in one spot! Alsea Falls Recreation Site offers 21 overnight campsites and 15 picnic sites along the pristine South Fork Alsea River. The campground offers potable water, tent pads, fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets. Make sure to plan a ride on the exceptional downhill flow style mountain biking trails or to take a scenic hike to several waterfalls! Know before you go camping: The majority of camping is first-come, first-serve, a few sites are reservable on fees: Cash or check only. Campsite and vehicle day-use fees. fires/firewood: Fires are limited to metal steel fire rings or grills within the campground or day-use site. No firewood collection within recreation sites. See camp host or park ranger to purchase firewood. safety: No cell phone service. Share the roads with bikes. Watch out for log trucks. waterfalls: The best location to access the waterfalls is from the dayuse area. directions From Corvallis: Take Hwy 99W south for 15 miles. Turn west on Alpine Road. Drive 5 miles to Alpine Junction. Continue for 9 miles to the Alsea Falls campground entrance on the right. From Alsea: Take Alsea-Deadwood Hwy south 1 mile. Turn left on the South Fork Road and follow for approximately 8.5 miles (stay on paved road) to the Alsea Falls day-use entrance. Drive another 0.5 miles to the Alsea Falls campground entrance.
