National Heritage Corridor - South Carolina
The South Carolina National Heritage Corridor extends from the Appalachian Mountains to Charleston through seventeen counties of South Carolina. The heritage corridor promotes and interprets the state's history, with emphasis on European settlement, agriculture, African-American history, trade routes and the state's ports. Sites associated with the American Revolution and the American Civil War are also included.

Designated in 1996, the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor is committed to promoting and preserving the cultural, natural and historic resources of the state. The corridor stretches across 17 counties from the Appalachian Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean.
The heritage area is located throughout the state of South Carolina.
