ABOUT THE PARK

recreational access to Lake of the Woods. The ocean-like
lake comprises the boundary between the United States
and Canada. Lake of the Woods played a key role in the
exploration, fur trade and eventual settlement of the
Zippel Bay area. With 14,000 islands and 1,485 square
miles of water, recreational opportunities are endless.
Come for walleye fishing, birdwatching, boating, camping,
diverse wildlife or to relax along the sandy shoreline.
