DANKWORTH POND Dankworth Village The Dos Arroyos Trail leads to a recreated Native American village. This village contains replicas of dwellings, grinding stones, roasting pits, and other tools and artifacts used by a variety of southwestern native people. The village demonstrates the changing lifestyles starting with prehistoric peoples and going through to Mogollon tribes. This part of the park is located on property managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and is operated through joint efforts between BLM and Arizona State Parks & Trails. This area is often used to educate local school groups about Native American history. 01/22 Established 1957 Dankworth Pond State Park Dankworth Pond is 150 acres of land surrounding a 15-acre pond. The park was once a fish hatchery for raising catfish. It has picnic ramadas, trails, and a playground. The pond is home to bass, bluegill, catfish, and trout.
